26 A troubled fountain and a corrupted spring, is a righteous man who gives way before the wicked.

1 Praise Jehovah, my rock, who teaches my hands to war and my fingers to fight,
Matthew 4:1-25
1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
2 And having fasted forty days and forty nights, later he hungered.
3 And the Tempter came and said to him, If you are the Son of God, speak, in order that these stones may become bread.
4 But he answered and said, It has been written, ‘Man will not be living on bread alone, but upon every declaration that travels through the mouth of God!’
5 Then the devil takes him into the holy city. And he stands him upon the pinnacle of the temple, 6 and says to him, If you are the Son of God, cast yourself downward; for it has been written, ‘He will be commanding the messengers concerning you, and they will be lifting you up upon their hands, lest you hit your foot against a stone.'
7 Jesus said to him, Again it has been written, ‘Do not test the Lord, your God.’
8 Again, the devil takes him to an exceedingly high mountain, and shows him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 and I will be giving you all these things, if you fall down and worship me.
10 Then Jesus says to him, Go behind me, Adversary! For it has been written, ‘You will worship the Lord your God and you will give-divine service to him only.’ 11 Then the devil leaves him, and behold, messengers came and were serving him.
12 Now Jesus, having heard that John was given up, departed into Galilee.
13 And having left Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the borders of Zebulun and Naphtali; 14 in order that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, saying, 15 ‘The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, the way of the sea, beyond-that of the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles, 16 the people who sit in darkness saw a great light and to those who sit in the region and shadow of death, light has risen for them.’
17 From then onward, Jesus began to preach and to say, Repent; for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.
18 Now walking beside the sea of Galilee, he saw two brethren, Simon who is called Peter and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. 19 And he says to them, Come-here after me and I will make you fishermen of men. 20 Now immediately, they left the nets and followed him. 21 And having advanced from there, he saw two other brothers, James, the son of Zebedee and John, his brother, in the ship with Zebedee, their father, mending their nets. And he called them. 22 Now immediately they followed him having left the ship and their father.
23 And Jesus was going around the whole of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good-news of the kingdom and healing every kind of disease and every kind of illness among the people. 24 And the report of him went forth into the whole of Syria and they brought to him all who were ill, held by various diseases and torments and demon-possessed and epileptic and paralytics, and he healed them. 25 And large crowds followed him from Galilee and Decapolis and Jerusalem and Judea and beyond-that of the Jordan.
4 But he answered and said, It has been written, ‘Man will not be living on bread alone, but upon every declaration that travels through the mouth of God!’

Matthew 26:52-54
52 Then Jesus says to him, Return your sword into its place; for all those who take up the sword will be perishing with the sword.
53 Or do you think that I am not able now to plead with my Father and he will not stand beside me with more than twelve legions of messengers?
54 Therefore how might the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it is essential to happen as thus?
1 Timothy 5:8
8 But if anyone is not planning-for his own and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
Exodus 20:1-26
1 And God spoke all these words, saying,
2 I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 You will have no other gods before me.
4 You will not make to you a graven image, nor any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You will not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them, because I, Jehovah your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons, upon the third and upon the fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 and showing loving kindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
7 You will not take the name of Jehovah your God in vain, because Jehovah will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you will labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Jehovah your God. You will not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your man-servant, nor your maid-servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates, 11 for in six days Jehovah made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them and rested the seventh day. Therefore Jehovah blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. 12 Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Jehovah your God gives you.
13 You will not murder.
14 You will not commit adultery.
15 You will not steal.
16 You will not bear false witness against your neighbor.
17 You will not desire your neighbor's house. You will not desire your neighbor's wife, nor his man-servant, nor his maid-servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.
18 And all the people perceived the thunderings and the lightnings and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking. And when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off.
19 And they said to Moses, Speak with us and we will hear, but do not let God speak with us, lest we die. 20 And Moses said to the people, Do not fear, because God has come to prove you* and that his fear may be before you*, that you* not sin. 21 And the people stood afar off and Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.
22 And Jehovah said to Moses, Thus you will say to the sons of Israel, You* yourselves have seen that I have talked with you* from heaven. 23 You* will not make other gods with me; gods of silver, or gods of gold, you* will not make to you*.
24 An altar of earth you will make to me and will sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen. In every place where I record my name I will come to you and I will bless you.
25 And if you make to me an altar of stone, you will not build it of hewn stones, because if you lift up your tool upon it, you have polluted it.
26 Neither will you go up by steps to my altar, that your nakedness is not uncovered on it.

Matthew 5:1-48
1 Now having seen the crowds, he went up into the mountain and having sat down, his disciples came to him.
2 And he opened his mouth and was teaching them, saying: 3 The poor in spirit are fortunate, because theirs is the kingdom of the heavens. 4 Those who are mourning are fortunate, because they will be comforted. 5 The meek are fortunate, because they will inherit the earth. 6 Those who hunger and are thirsty for righteousness are fortunate, because they will be fed. 7 The merciful are fortunate, because they will be shown-mercy. 8 The clean in heart are fortunate, because they will be seeing God. 9 The peacemakers are fortunate, because they will be called sons of God. 10 Those who have been persecuted because of righteousness are fortunate, because theirs is the kingdom of the heavens. 11 You are fortunate whenever they reproach and persecute you and say every evil word against you–lying, because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because your reward is much in the heavens; for thus, they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
13 You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt is flavorless, then with what shall it be salted? It is still not strong-enough to be used for anything, except to be cast outside and trampled by men. 14 You are the light of the world. A city laying upon a mountain is not able to be hid. 15 Nor are they burning a lamp and placing it under a peck container, but upon the lamp-stand, and it is shining to all who are in the house. 16 So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and may glorify your Father, the one in the heavens.
17 Do not suppose that I came to tear-down the law or the prophets; I did not come to tear-down, but to fulfill. 18 For assuredly I am saying to you, Until heaven and earth should pass away, one iota or one serif may never pass away from the law, until all things should become fulfilled.
19 Therefore, whoever loosens one of these least commandments and may teach men to do so, will be called least in the kingdom of the heavens, but whoever practices and should teach them, he will be called great in the kingdom of the heavens. 20 For I am saying to you, that if your righteousness is not abounding more-than that of the scribes and Pharisees, you may never enter into the kingdom of the heavens.
21 You have heard that it was said to the ancients, ‘Do not murder,' but ‘whoever murders will be liable to the judgment.’ 22 But I say to you, that everyone who is vainly angry to ward his brother will be liable to the judgment, and whoever says to his brother, You, empty-head, will be liable to the council, but whoever says, You fool, will be liable to the hell of fire.
{Vainly can be: with emptiness (without cause or reason; i.e. to further one's own vanity)}
{Empty-head is an expression of contempt. The Greek here could be simply ‘fool’said as an expression of condemnation or could be a transliteration of ‘Moreh’which is a Hebrew expression of condemnation. In Mat 5:22 the wording doesn’t matter; it’s the way it is said or meant.}
23 Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar, and while you are there, you should remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar and go away. First be reconciled to your brother and then come and offer your gift. 25 Be agreeable with your opponent quickly, until which time you are with him on the road; lest the opponent should give you to the judge and the judge should give you to the attendant and you will be cast into prison. 26 Assuredly I am saying to you, You may never come out from there, until you should have repaid the last copper coin.
27 You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ 28 But I say to you, that everyone who is looking at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 Now if your right eye is offending you, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is advantageous for you, that one of your members should perish and not that your whole body should be cast into hell. 30 And if your right hand is offending you, cut it off and cast it away from you; for it is advantageous for you, that one of your members should perish and not that your whole body should be cast into hell.
31 It was also said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a document of divorcement.’ 32 But I say to you, that whoever divorces his wife, except-for the reason of fornication, is making her commit adultery and whoever marries her who has been divorced is committing adultery.
33 Again, you have heard that it was said to the ancients, ‘You will not perjure yourself, but will be giving your oaths to the Lord.’ 34 But I am saying to you, Not to swear in anyway; neither by the heaven, because it is the throne of God; 35 nor by the earth, because it is the footstool of his feet; nor in Jerusalem, because it is the city of the Great King, 36 nor should you swear by your head, because you are unable to make one hair white or black. 37 But let your word be, a Yes, yes; a No, no; and whatever is more-than these, is from the evil one.
38 You have heard that it was said, An eye in exchange-for an eye and a tooth in exchange-for a tooth. 39 But I am saying to you, Not to stand against an evil man, but who ever slaps you upon your right jaw, turn also the other to him. 40 And to him, who is willing to have a lawsuit against you and wants to take away your tunic, then also allow for him to take your\'b0 outer garment. 41 And who ever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. 42 Give to the one who asks you and do not turn away from the one who wishes to borrow from you. 43 You have heard that it was said, ‘You will love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I am saying to you, Love*\'b0 your enemies, speak well of those who curse you, do good things to those who hate you and pray on behalf of those who are railing at you and are persecuting you. 45 Do this that you may become sons of your Father who is in the heavens, because his sun rises upon the evil and the good and it rains upon the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you only greet your friends, what are you doing more-than others? Are not even the tax collectors doing so? 48 Therefore you will be complete, just-like your Father is complete, the one in the heavens.

26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will be sending in my name, that one will be teaching you all things and will be reminding you of all things which I said to you.
Leviticus 26:1-46
1 You* will make for you* no idols. Neither will you* rear up for you* a graven image, or a pillar. Neither will you* place any figured stone in your* land, to bow down to it. For I am Jehovah your* God.
2 You* will keep my Sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary. I am Jehovah.
3 If you* walk in my statutes and keep my commandments and do them, 4 then I will give your* rains in their season and the land will yield its increase and the trees of the field will yield their fruit. 5 And your* threshing will reach to the vintage and the vintage will reach to the sowing time and you* will eat your* bread to the full and dwell in your* land safely.
6 And I will give peace in the land and you* will lie down and none will make you* afraid. And I will cause evil beasts to cease out of the land, nor will the sword go through your* land. 7 And you* will chase your* enemies and they will fall before you* by the sword. 8 And five of you* will chase a hundred and a hundred of you* will chase ten thousand and your* enemies will fall before you* by the sword.
9 And I will have respect to you* and make you* fruitful and multiply you* and will establish my covenant with you*. 10 And you* will eat old storage long kept and you* will bring forth the old because of the new.
11 And I will set my tabernacle among you* and my soul will not abhor you*. 12 And I will walk among you* and will be your* God and you* will be my people. 13 I am Jehovah your* God, who brought you* forth out of the land of Egypt, that you* should not be their bondmen. And I have broken the bars of your* yoke and made you* go upright.
14 But if you* will not listen to me and will not do all these commandments, 15 and if you* will reject my statutes and if your* soul abhors my ordinances, so that you* will not do all my commandments, but break my covenant, 16 I also will do this to you*: I will appoint terror over you*, even consumption and fever, that will consume the eyes and make the soul to pine away. And you* will sow your* seed in vain, for your* enemies will eat it. 17 And I will set my face against you* and you* will be struck before your* enemies. Those who hate you* will rule over you* and you* will flee when no man pursues you*.
18 And if for these things you* will not yet listen to me, then I will discipline you* seven times more for your* sins. 19 And I will break the pride of your* power. And I will make your* sky as iron and your* earth as brass, 20 and your* strength will be spent in vain, for your* land will not yield its increase, nor will the trees of the land yield their fruit.
21 And if you* walk contrary to me and will not listen to me, I will bring seven times more plagues upon you* according to your* sins. 22 And I will send the beast of the field among you*, which will rob you* of your* sons and destroy your* cattle and make you* few in number and your* ways will become desolate.
23 And if by these things you* will not be reformed to me, but will walk contrary to me, 24 then I also will walk contrary to you* and I will kill* you*, even I, seven times for your* sins. 25 And I will bring a sword upon you* that will execute the vengeance of the covenant and you* will be gathered together within your* cities. And I will send the pestilence among you* and you* will be delivered into the hand of the enemy. 26 When I break your* staff of bread, ten women will bake your* bread in one oven and they will deliver your* bread again by weight and you* will eat and not be satisfied.
27 And if for all this you* will not listen to me, but walk contrary to me, 28 then I will walk contrary to you* in wrath and I also will discipline you* seven times for your* sins. 29 And you* will eat the flesh of your* sons and the flesh of your* daughters you* will eat. 30 And I will destroy your* high places and cut down your* sun-images and cast your* dead bodies upon the bodies of your* idols and my soul will abhor you*. 31 And I will make your* cities a waste and will bring your* sanctuaries to desolation and I will not smell the savor of your* sweet odors. 32 And I will bring the land into desolation and your* enemies who dwell in it will be astonished at it.
33 And I will scatter you* among the nations and I will draw out the sword after you* and your* land will be a desolation and your* cities will be a waste. 34 Then the land will enjoy its Sabbaths, as long as it lies desolate and you* are in your* enemies' land, even then will the land rest and enjoy its Sabbaths. 35 As long as it lies desolate it will have rest, even the rest which it had not in your* Sabbaths, when you* dwelt upon it.
36 And as for those who are left of you*, I will send a faintness into their heart in the lands of their enemies. And the sound of a driven leaf will chase them and they will flee as a man flees from the sword and they will fall when no man pursues. 37 And they will stumble one upon another, as it were before the sword, when no man pursues. And you* will have no power to stand before your* enemies. 38 And you* will perish among the nations and the land of your* enemies will eat you* up. 39 And those who are left of you* will pine away in their iniquity in your* enemies' lands and also in the iniquities of their fathers they will pine away with them.
40 And they will confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass which they trespassed against me and also that, because they walked contrary to me, 41 I also walked contrary to them and brought them into the land of their enemies. If then their uncircumcised heart be humbled and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity, 42 then I will remember my covenant with Jacob and also my covenant with Isaac and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember and I will remember the land. 43 The land also will be left by them and will enjoy its Sabbaths while it lies desolate without them. And they will accept of the punishment of their iniquity, because, even because they rejected my ordinances and their soul loathed my statutes.
44 And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly and to break my covenant with them, for I am Jehovah their God, 45 but for their sakes I will remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God. I am Jehovah.
46 These are the statutes and ordinances and laws, which Jehovah made between him and the sons of Israel at Mount Sinai by Moses.
Deuteronomy 28:1-68
1 And it will happen, if you will listen diligently to the voice of Jehovah your God, to observe to do all his commandments which I command you this day, that Jehovah your God will set you on high above all the nations of the earth,
2 and all these blessings will come upon you and overtake you, if you will listen to the voice of Jehovah your God:
3 You will be blessed in the city and you will be blessed in the field. 4 The fruit of your body will be blessed and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your beasts, the increase of your cattle and the young of your flock. 5 Your basket and your kneading-trough will be blessed. 6 You will be blessed when you come in and you will be blessed when you go out.
7 Jehovah will cause your enemies that rise up against you to be struck before you. They will come out against you one way and will flee before you seven ways. 8 Jehovah will command the blessing upon you in your barns and in all that you put your hand to. And he will bless you in the land which Jehovah your God gives you.
9 Jehovah will establish you for a holy people to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you will keep the commandments of Jehovah your God and walk in his ways. 10 And all the peoples of the earth will see that you are called by the name of Jehovah and they will be afraid of you.
11 And Jehovah will make you plenteous for good, in the fruit of your body and in the fruit of your cattle and in the fruit of your ground, in the land which Jehovah swore to your fathers to give you.
12 Jehovah will open to you his good treasure the heavens, to give the rain of your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand. And you will lend to many nations and you will not borrow.
13 And Jehovah will make you the head and not the tail. And you will only be above and you will not be beneath, if you will listen to the commandments of Jehovah your God, which I command you this day, to observe and to do, 14 and will not turn aside from any of the words which I command you* this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
15 But it will happen, if you will not listen to the voice of Jehovah your God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command you this day, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:
16 You will be cursed in the city and you will be cursed in the field. 17 Your basket and your kneading-trough will be cursed. 18 The fruit of your body and the fruit of your ground, the increase of your cattle and the young of your flock will be cursed. 19 You will be cursed when you come in and you be will cursed when you go out. 20 Jehovah will send upon you cursing, confusion and rebuke, in all that you put your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the evil of your practices, by which you have forsaken me.
21 Jehovah will make the pestilence cling to you, until he has consumed you from the land, where you go in to possess it. 22 Jehovah will kill* you with consumption and with fever and with inflammation and with fiery heat and with the sword and with blight and with mildew. And they will pursue you until you perish.
23 And your sky that is over your head will be brass and the earth that is under you will be iron. 24 Jehovah will make the rain of your land powder and dust. From the sky it will come down upon you, until you are destroyed.
25 Jehovah will cause you to be struck before your enemies. You will go out one way against them and will flee seven ways before them. And you will be tossed to and fro among all the kingdoms of the earth. 26 And your dead body will be food to all birds of the sky and to the beasts of the earth and there will be none to frighten them away.
27 Jehovah will kill* you with the boils of Egypt and with the tumors and with the scurvy and with the itch, of which you cannot be healed.
28 Jehovah will kill* you with madness and with blindness and with confusion of mind, 29 and you will grope at noonday, as the blind man gropes in darkness. And you will not prosper in your ways. And you will only be oppressed and robbed always and there will be none to save you.
30 You will betroth a wife and another man will lie with her. You will build a house and you will not dwell in it. You will plant a vineyard and will not use the fruit of it. 31 Your ox will be slain before your eyes and you will not eat of it. Your donkey will be violently taken away from before your face and will not be restored to you. Your sheep will be given to your enemies and you will have none to save you. 32 Your sons and your daughters will be given to another people. And your eyes will look and fail with longing for them all the day and there will be nothing in the power of your hand. 33 The fruit of your ground and all your labors, will a nation eat up which you do not know. And you will only be oppressed and crushed always, 34 so that you will be mad because of the sight of your eyes which you will see.
35 Jehovah will kill* you in the knees and in the legs, with a sore boil, of which you cannot be healed, from the sole of your foot to the crown of your head.
36 Jehovah will bring you and your king whom you will set over you, to a nation that you have not known, you nor your fathers. And there you will serve other gods, wood and stone. 37 And you will become an astonishment, a proverb and a parable, among all the peoples where Jehovah will lead you away.
38 You will carry much seed out into the field and will gather little in, for the locust will consume it. 39 You will plant vineyards and dress them, but you will neither drink of the wine, nor gather, for the worm will eat them. 40 You will have olive trees throughout all your borders, but you will not anoint yourself with the oil, for your olive will drop off. 41 You will beget sons and daughters, but they will not be your, for they will go into captivity. 42 All your trees and the fruit of your ground will the locust possess.
43 The traveler who is in the midst of you will mount up above you higher and higher and you will come down lower and lower. 44 He will lend to you and you will not lend to him. He will be the head and you will be the tail.
45 And all these curses will come upon you and will pursue you and overtake you, till you are destroyed, because you listened not to the voice of Jehovah your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded you, 46 and they will be upon you for a sign and for a wonder and upon your seed everlasting. 47 Because you served not Jehovah your God with joyfulness and with gladness of heart, by reason of the abundance of all things, 48 therefore you will serve your enemies that Jehovah will send against you, in hunger and in thirst and in nakedness and in want of all things. And he will put a yoke of iron upon your neck, until he has destroyed you.
49 Jehovah will bring a nation against you from far, from the end of the earth, as the eagle flies, a nation whose tongue you will not understand, 50 a nation of fierce countenance, that will not regard the person of the old, nor show favor to the young, 51 and will eat the fruit of your cattle and the fruit of your ground, until you are destroyed, that also will not leave you grain, new wine, or oil, the increase of your cattle, or the young of your flock, until they have caused you to perish. 52 And they will besiege you in all your gates, until your high and fortified walls come down, in which you trusted, throughout all your land. And they will besiege you in all your gates throughout all your land, which Jehovah your God has given you.
53 And you will eat the fruit of your own body, the flesh of your sons and of your daughters, whom Jehovah your God has given you, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemies will distress you. 54 The man who is tender among you* and very delicate, his eye will be evil toward his brother and toward the wife of his bosom and toward the remnant of his sons whom he has remaining, 55 so that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his sons whom he will eat, because he has nothing left to him, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemy will distress you in all your gates.
56 The tender and delicate woman among you*, who would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye will be evil toward the husband of her bosom and toward her son and toward her daughter, 57 and toward her young one who comes out from between her feet and toward her sons whom she will bear, for she will eat them secretly for want of all things, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemy will distress you in your gates.
58 If you will not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and fearful name, JEHOVAH YOUR GOD, 59 then Jehovah will make your calamities extraordinary and the calamities of your seed, even great calamities and of long continuance and severe sicknesses and of long continuance.
60 And he will bring upon you again all the diseases of Egypt, which you were afraid of and they will cling to you. 61 Also every sickness and every calamity, which is not written in the book of this law, them Jehovah will bring upon you, until you are destroyed. 62 And you* will be left few in number, in that you* were as the stars of heaven for multitude, because you did not listen to the voice of Jehovah your God.
63 And it will happen, that, as Jehovah rejoiced over you* to do you* good and to multiply you*, so Jehovah will rejoice over you* to cause you* to perish and to destroy you*. And you* will be plucked from the land where you go in to possess it.
64 And Jehovah will scatter you among all peoples, from the one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. And you will serve other gods there, which you have not known, you nor your fathers, even wood and stone ones.
65 And among these nations you will find no ease and there will be no rest for the sole of your foot, but Jehovah will give you there a trembling heart and failing of eyes and pining of soul. 66 And your life will hang in doubt before you and you will fear night and day and will have no assurance of your life. 67 In the morning you will say, Would it were evening! and at evening you will say, Would it were morning! for the fear of your heart which you will fear and for the sight of your eyes which you will see. 68 And Jehovah will bring you into Egypt again with ships, by the way of which I said to you, You will see it no more again. And there you* will sell yourselves to your* enemies for bondmen and for bondwomen and no man will buy you*.
